Amy Fougerouse
Director of Health Promotion, CF&H
Get to Know Amy
Amy began her career with Corporate Fitness & Health, a Diversified Group company, in October of 2006 as a Health Promotion Coordinator and has advanced to Director of Health Promotion for the organization. She leads the wellness team and makes sure their clients’ wellness programs are successfully designed and implemented.
Two key factors in healthcare are making wellness a priority and keeping people healthy. When people stay healthy, they inevitably spend less on healthcare. Money, time and lost productivity spent on medical conditions or interventions are all reduced. In her years at CF&H, Amy has found that keeping people motivated and informed on wellness are their biggest challenges. In fact, she wishes that every person had the opportunity to live one day in a healthy body so they could realize how amazing it feels. Then, the motivation to stay healthy might ultimately become intrinsic for people.
CF&H looks at each client company as a whole and tries to determine how best to improve the culture of health. They also work with individual employees to help them improve their personal health and lifestyle. Another aspect they deal with is that some clients don’t always realize that there are options when it comes to healthcare, and CF&H helps make them aware of that.
“The organization prides itself on really getting to know the unique needs and interests of groups and individuals so they can offer solutions that truly work. We combine these pieces to form the foundation for healthy people and healthy companies.”

Industry & Community Involvement
Amy is constantly providing nutrition tips, workout plans and general wellness information to her friends, family and people she meets. She feels that wellness is a part of who she is and she truly enjoys sharing her knowledge and providing motivation to anyone who asks!
Amy likes to stay busy! She has an 8-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter, so she spends most of her free time at their soccer games, gymnastics practices, school events, etc. When she gets a minute to herself she usually heads to the gym, tries out the latest healthy recipe or buries herself in a good book. She loves spending time with her husband, her kids, her family and her friends – the people she feels make her hard work most worthwhile.
Amy spends most of her summer weekends at a family beach house in Rhode Island. The house and experiences have been a huge part of her life since she was a child and it’s so fun for her to share the experience now with her own kids. She even called it her sanctuary – the one place in the world where she can truly relax!
Amy’s favorite sport is gymnastics! Amy was a gymnast for years and she still has a soft spot in her heart for it. While she does not participate in the sport these days, she is still very active and loves all sports – anything that involves competition, really. When time permits, she loves to ski in the winters and water-ski in the summers. Her favorite sport to watch is definitely football.
